Your contact names will appear on each other’s screens and you should both tap Add. To use this method, tap More (three dots), select Add friends, then tap “Shake it!” Now, you and your friend need to tap the screen or, of course, shake the phones. For this to work, you and your friend need to be close and have the GPS or Location Services turned on. One of the coolest Line features is “Shake it!” since it allows you to instantly add a person by shaking the phone. To look for and add recommended friends, hit the silhouette icon again, scroll the Friend Recommendation list, and tap on Add next to the user ID. Line provides you with friend recommendations based on your current contacts, groups, and previous chat engagement. Type a friend’s ID or phone number, hit Search, and tap on Add next to the contact you are looking for. Hit the magnifying glass icon to initiate the search and choose one of the offered search options – Line ID or Phone number. Select Friends at the bottom left and tap the silhouette icon at the top right.
